Hossam El-Badry backs Mahmoud Khatib as key to Al Ahly’s future

Hossam El-Badry, now leading Libyan side Al-Ahly Tripoli, has voiced his strong belief that Mahmoud El-Khatib must continue as president of Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

For El-Badry, Khatib is more than just a leader; he represents the heartbeat of the club during uncertain times.

“Khatib’s continued presidency of Al Ahly is indispensable. He is a fundamental pillar of the club, and his departure will represent a huge loss that will be difficult to compensate for,” El-Badry said in media statements.

The former coach also reflected on his personal connection with the club president.

“I have a special relationship with Mahmoud El Khatib, and his support has been one of the most significant moments of my career. Now is the time for Al Ahly’s people to stand behind their captain and support the club at this stage.”
