Hossam Ashour backs Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane as Al Ahly’s key summer signing

Al Ahly legend Hossam Ashour believes Tunisian midfielder Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane is the standout signing of the club’s summer transfer window.

The former Egypt international, who spent nearly two decades with the Red Devils, is confident the new recruit will make a big impact.

Speaking in a recent television interview, Ashour praised Bin Ramadan’s versatility and skill, describing him as a player capable of excelling in multiple roles on the pitch.

“Ben Romdhane has great capabilities and is good at playing in more than one position,” Ashour said, adding that the midfielder’s performance will only improve as he settles into the team. “I expect his level to rise further with the increase in the state of harmony within the team.”

Ashour also urged patience with Al Ahly’s new coaching team, led by Jose Riveiro, highlighting that both the technical staff and new players need time to adjust.

“It is too early to assess the new coaching staff… there are a number of new deals that need time to adapt.”
