Espérance’s Oussama Darragi Out Until December with Fractured Ankle
Espérance Sportive de Tunis captain and attacking midfielder Oussama Darragi has been ruled out until December after suffering a fractured right ankle during a friendly match against AS Souka on Sunday.
The 27-year-old, visibly in pain, was carried off the pitch in tears by goalkeeping coach Jean-Jacques Tizié. Darragi underwent surgery later that evening, performed by Dr. Ben Abid, and will be sidelined for an estimated three months, according to club sources.
This injury is a major blow for Espérance, who are currently 6th in the Tunisian Ligue 1 after 7 matchdays, with 2 wins, 3 draws, and 2 losses. Darragi’s absence will leave a significant gap in the team’s creativity and leadership on the pitch.
