Hoogewerf joins Grenoble on free transfer from Vitesse Arnhem
Grenoble Foot 38 have signed Dutch-Nigerian winger Dillon Hoogewerf from Vitesse Arnhem on a free transfer. The 23-year-old left-sided attacker moves into Ligue 2 with an estimated market value of 375,000.
Hoogewerf joins the French club after two seasons at Vitesse, where his performances in the Netherlands Keuken Kampioen Divisie saw his valuation rise steadily from 150,000 to 375,000 between late 2024 and early 2026. Primarily a left winger who favours his right foot, he adds pace and direct attacking options to Grenobles wide areas.
Born in Almere in February 2003 and standing at 1.65m, Hoogewerf has dual nationality with the Netherlands and Nigeria. His move to Grenoble continues a career path that has already taken him through several European football cultures at a relatively young age.
Before his spell in Arnhem, he played in Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach II, having arrived there in January 2022 from Manchester Uniteds youth set-up. His time in England included progression from Manchester Uniteds under-18s to the under-21s, reflecting a steady rise through elite academies.
Hoogewerfs early development came in the Netherlands with Ajax, moving through the Amsterdam clubs youth ranks after leaving FC Almeres youth system in 2012. That foundation, combined with experience in the Netherlands, England and Germany, gives Grenoble a wide player with a varied football education and exposure to different tactical environments.
Grenoble now hold the registration of a winger whose value has climbed consistently over the past two years, underlining the significance of securing him without a transfer fee.
