Germany-based club TSG Hoffenheim are pushing to complete a move for striker Yannick Eduardo, according to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, following the forward’s impressive form in the Netherlands.
The Angolan-born attacker is currently on loan at FC Dordrecht from RB Leipzig and has been one of the standout performers in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie this season.
His displays have prompted renewed interest from several European clubs, with Hoffenheim now attempting to move ahead of Italian side Udinese in the race for his signature.
Romano reported earlier that Udinese had already submitted concrete offers for the striker. However, Hoffenheim are now working to secure a deal and divert Eduardo away from a potential move to Serie A.
The Bundesliga club’s renewed interest underlines the growing attention surrounding the player after a productive campaign in the Dutch second tier.
Eduardo’s numbers this season have been notable. He has scored 12 goals and registered five assists in league competition, continuing his scoring run into the early part of the year.
He has already found the net in recent matches against Den Bosch, in a 3-2 victory, and RKC Waalwijk, in a 1-1 draw, reinforcing his reputation as a consistent attacking threat.
The striker’s career has taken a winding path through several European academies. He joined NEC’s youth setup in 2020 before earning a move to RB Leipzig two years later.
Despite progressing within the German club, Eduardo was unable to break into Leipzig’s first team and has since spent time on loan to gain senior experience.
In the summer of 2024, he was loaned to De Graafschap, though that spell lasted only six months. He later finished the season on loan at FC Emmen, adding further exposure to Dutch football before joining Dordrecht for the current campaign.
Eduardo has also had an unusual international youth journey. While Angolan-born, he has featured for Dutch Under-17 and Under-18 sides, making seven appearances at youth level, before later representing the Czech Republic’s youth teams.
With his profile rising once again, Hoffenheim’s interest suggests the forward could soon return to Germany, as clubs weigh up a permanent move for a striker whose development appears firmly back on track.
