Hoeness hails Michael Olise as unique technical talent

Michael Olise is putting together a standout season at Bayern Munich, quickly emerging as a key figure in the German champions’ attack since his arrival.

Olise has become vital to Bayern’s forward line, attracting interest from several top European sides, although the club have no intention of entertaining offers for him this summer.

Honorary president Uli Hoeness could not hide his admiration when speaking about Olise’s skill set in an interview with DAZN. “He’s simply too technical,” Hoeness said.

“His incredible technique, his dedication, and above all his precision in finishing are exceptional. Arjen Robben was similar in that respect, but I think Michael is even more precise with his unstoppable left-foot shot into the top corner.” He added that Olise’s timing in duels and speed of execution make him unusually decisive in front of goal.

However, Hoeness was more reserved when asked if Olise might become one of the main public faces of Bayern. He pointed to the Frenchman’s introverted nature and limited social media presence, stressing that his focus is firmly on football and his responsibility toward supporters, which Hoeness considers a very positive trait.
