Hoeneß says Bayern will block any Olise exit amid Real Madrid interest and hails ‘world’s best’ front three

Uli Hoeneß has insisted Bayern Munich will not entertain any offers for Michael Olise, dismissing rumours of a move to Real Madrid and declaring the club’s attacking trio untouchable.

The Bayern honorary president, speaking on Thursday to German outlet Sport1, said speculation over Olise’s future had no basis while the French winger remains under a long-term deal at the Allianz Arena.

“I laughed a lot when I heard those rumours,” Hoeneß said. “Olise is still under contract for three years, so for me there is no issue to discuss. Even if the Emperor of China himself came, we would not sit down to negotiate with him about Olise.”

Hoeneß was responding to reports in Spain and Germany that Real Madrid were monitoring Olise as a potential future signing following his move to Bayern earlier this summer.

Diaz and Kane also off limits

Hoeneß stressed that Bayern’s stance extended beyond Olise, making clear that fellow forwards Luis Diaz and Harry Kane are also not for sale.

He argued that the trio formed a frontline Bayern have no intention of breaking up.

“The same applies to the Colombian Luis Diaz,” he continued. “We have the best attacking trio in the world: Olise, Luis Diaz and Harry Kane. We cannot think about selling any one of them.”

The 72-year-old, a long-time powerbroker at the club, underlined that Bayern’s current strategy is to build around their leading forwards rather than cash in, regardless of interest from abroad.

His comments are likely to be interpreted as a firm message to potential suitors ahead of the next transfer windows, with Bayern keen to project stability after recent seasons of change in both squad and dugout.

Kane ‘very happy’ in Munich

Hoeneß also addressed Harry Kane’s situation amid ongoing talk of negotiations over a new contract for the England captain, who joined Bayern from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023.

Although he said he has not spoken to Kane personally about his future, Hoeneß is convinced the striker is settled in Germany and sees no reason for him to consider leaving next year.

“I have not spoken with Harry directly, but I know he is very happy in Munich,” Hoeneß said. “We are also very happy with him, and there is no reason that would push him to leave next year.

“He is a role model in every respect, not only as a goalscorer or as a player on the pitch, but also as a person.”

Kane’s impact since arriving in Bavaria has reinforced his status as one of the leading centre-forwards in world football, and Bayern are eager to ensure he remains the focal point of their attack alongside Olise and Luis Diaz.

Hoeneß’s remarks underline Bayern’s determination to protect that core, with the club intent on resisting any attempts from Europe’s elite – including Real Madrid – to test their resolve over their star forwards.
