Hodaifa El Mhassani transfer rumour: Morocco defender linked with Fakel Voronezh

Morocco right-back Hodaifa El Mhassani, who is currently without a club, has been linked with a move to Russian Premier Liga side Fakel Voronezh.

The 26-year-old left FUS Rabat on 1 July 2026 after two seasons with the Moroccan club. He joined FUS from Moghreb Tetouan in August 2024, in a free transfer, and is now available as Fakel consider a potential move for a defender valued at €700,000.

El Mhassani has spent his senior career in Morocco and made 135 appearances in the Botola Pro Inwi, scoring eight goals and providing six assists. He also recorded six appearances in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine and one in the Excellence Cup.

Born in Tetouan on 13 November 1999, El Mhassani is listed as a right-back and stands 1.75m tall. He is right-footed and has represented no national club, with his current status remaining outside a club set-up.

A move to Fakel Voronezh would be the first overseas transfer of El Mhassani’s career, after spells with Moghreb Tetouan and FUS Rabat. The reported link is dated 2 August 2026, but there is no indication that an agreement has been reached.

El Mhassani remains without a club following his departure from FUS Rabat.
