Himad Abdelli has been named in Angers’ squad for their upcoming Ligue 1 match against Saint-Étienne after recovering from a hamstring injury.
The Algerian midfielder, who was sidelined last weekend, is among the 20 players selected for the fixture on Saturday at 18:00 GMT.
Abdelli was forced to withdraw at the last moment before Angers’ previous game against Stade de Reims, which ended in a 1-0 defeat.
His absence was a setback for the team, but he has now returned to full fitness and is expected to play a key role in their battle to stay in the top flight.
With Angers fighting to secure their place in Ligue 1, head coach Alexandre Dujeux will be pleased to have one of his key creative players back in the squad.
Abdelli has been an important figure for the team this season, contributing four goals and one assist in 21 league appearances.
His return adds to the momentum gained from last weekend’s victory over Reims, where fellow Algerian international Farid El Melali scored the decisive goal with a well-placed free kick.
With crucial points at stake, Abdelli’s presence offers a boost to Angers as they prepare for a challenging encounter against Saint-Étienne.
