Hichem Khoutri: French-Algerian defender joins FC Bourgoin-Jallieu on free transfer
French-Algerian centre-back Hichem Khoutri has joined FC Bourgoin-Jallieu from Andrezieux on a free transfer. The 24-year-old defender moves within the French pyramid to link up with the National 2 Group F side after a short spell in National 1 Group C.
Khoutri, born in Croix and standing at 1.88m, arrives as a right-footed central defender with experience across several levels of French football. He had signed for Andrezieux earlier in 2026 after a period without a club, and now makes another step in his career by switching to Bourgoin-Jallieu.
The move continues a nomadic path through the French game for Khoutri, who has previously represented Jura Sud, SO Cholet and GOAL FC in the senior ranks. Before that he spent time with US Feurs and Boulogne’s reserve side, having come through youth systems at Saint-Etienne, Le Puy Foot and Tours.
Khoutri has already built up significant minutes in the lower national divisions, featuring regularly in National 3, National 2 and National 1, as well as appearing in the Coupe de France. His most productive campaign in front of goal came in National 3 Group K, where he scored five times in 26 matches from centre-back.
Having joined FC Bourgoin-Jallieu on 17 July 2026, Khoutri now begins the next phase of his career in National 2 with a completed free transfer from Andrezieux.
