Moroccan winger Hicham Boussefiane has signed a contract with Marbella FC, marking his return to Spanish football after two seasons in Morocco’s top flight.

The 27-year-old has joined the Spanish third-tier club on a deal running until 30 June 2026. Now a free agent, Boussefiane’s move to the Primera Federación side includes a reported monthly salary of €7,000, as he aims to re-establish himself in the European game.

A product of the renowned Mohammed VI Football Academy in Morocco, Boussefiane is no stranger to Spanish football. He first arrived in Spain in 2016 when he joined Malaga CF’s youth system, quickly working his way up through the ranks.

He eventually broke into the senior squad and made 43 appearances for Malaga in La Liga 2, showcasing his ability on the wing with his pace, technical skill, and attacking intelligence.

Following his spell in Spain, Boussefiane returned to Morocco in 2022, joining Botola Pro giants Wydad Casablanca. He later signed for AS FAR Rabat, where he featured prominently and added valuable experience to his résumé.

Despite solid performances in the Moroccan league, Boussefiane remained focused on a return to Europe—an ambition that has now materialised with his move to Marbella.

Marbella FC, based in the Andalusian coastal city, is a club with strong aspirations of climbing back to La Liga 2. The team’s recent investments and clear push for promotion made it an attractive destination for Boussefiane, who is seen as a key addition in their pursuit of that goal.

Known for his versatility on both wings, Boussefiane brings with him a mix of European training and North African flair. His ability to adapt to different tactical setups and deliver in high-pressure situations is expected to play a crucial role for Marbella as they prepare for a challenging season in one of Spain’s most competitive lower divisions.

Club officials have expressed confidence in their new signing, viewing his experience in both Spanish and Moroccan football as a major asset. Marbella’s management sees Boussefiane as more than just a signing for depth—they expect him to be an immediate contributor and a potential game-changer.

For Boussefiane, the move is a pivotal moment. With several years of professional experience behind him, and having already proven his talent at Malaga, he now has the platform to revive and push forward his European career. At 27, he enters what is often considered the peak years for a footballer, and his focus will be on consistency, impact, and helping Marbella achieve their promotion ambitions.

Pre-season training is already underway, and Boussefiane is expected to join his new teammates imminently. His return to Spanish football is being closely followed in both Morocco and Spain, as supporters watch to see if he can recapture the form that once made him one of the most promising talents in Malaga’s setup.

As Marbella FC aims high this season, Hicham Boussefiane’s comeback could prove to be a defining chapter in both his career and the club’s future.
