Hicham Boudaoui emerges as Olympiacos transfer target
Hicham Boudaoui could leave OGC Nice during the winter transfer window, with Greek club Olympiacos reportedly monitoring the Algeria midfielder.
Boudaoui’s contract with Nice runs until June 2027, but the 27-year-old could be available for a move in January if an agreement can be reached.
According to Transferfeed, Olympiacos have already opened discussions with Boudaoui’s representatives as the Greek side consider a potential move for the midfielder.
The Piraeus club is reportedly attracted by Boudaoui’s experience at international level. The midfielder has won 36 caps for Algeria, which is understood to be an important factor in Olympiacos’ interest.
Boudaoui has been with Nice, but his current contract situation could give the French club a decision to make ahead of the winter transfer window.
With his deal set to expire in June 2027, Nice could consider allowing the midfielder to leave during the January window rather than wait until later in his contract.
The club is reportedly prepared to listen to offers and has placed a valuation of about €5m on the Algeria international.
That figure could still be negotiated if Olympiacos decide to pursue the transfer, according to the report.
For Boudaoui, the reported interest from Olympiacos comes with the possibility of a move away from the French club during the middle of the season.
The Algerian midfielder’s international experience is understood to be one of the reasons for the Greek club’s interest as it considers adding him to its squad.
Nice, meanwhile, could use the winter window to recoup a transfer fee for a player whose contract is due to expire in less than two years.
The reported €5m valuation could form the basis of negotiations between the two clubs should Olympiacos make a formal approach.
No agreement has been confirmed, but discussions with the player’s representatives have reportedly already taken place.
Boudaoui’s future could therefore become one to watch when the winter transfer window opens, with Olympiacos reportedly considering the 27-year-old as a potential addition and Nice potentially willing to negotiate his departure.
