Herve Koffi is expected to start in goal for Union Saint-Gilloise when they host Real Sociedad in the second matchday of the UEFA Europa League league phase on Thursday, 15 October 2026.

The match is scheduled to begin at 16:45 GMT at Den Dreef in Leuven, with the Burkina Faso international included in the Belgian side’s likely starting line-up.

Union Saint-Gilloise are expected to use a 3-1-4-2 formation. Koffi would operate behind a three-man defence of Massire Sylla, Nikki Havenaar and Nohim Chibani.

Louis Patris and Kamiel Van De Perre are set to provide width from the flanks, while Besfort Zeneli, Darius Olaru and Rob Schoofs are expected to form the midfield unit.

Guilherme Smith and Raul Florucz are the likely attacking pairing as Union Saint-Gilloise look to make use of home advantage and claim a positive result in their European campaign.

Real Sociedad are expected to line up in a 4-4-2 system, with Unai Marrero named as the probable goalkeeper.

Hector Fort, Jon Pacheco, Mamadou Sarr and Aihen Munoz could make up the Spanish club’s back four. Benat Turrientes, Yangel Herrera, Sergio Gomez and Mikel Oyarzabal are in line to start across midfield.

Orri Steinn Oskarsson is expected to lead the attack, while Takefusa Kubo or Goncalo Guedes could partner him in the forward line.

The fixture will bring together Union Saint-Gilloise’s intensity and pressing game with Real Sociedad’s technical control. For Koffi and his team-mates, the focus will be on converting their home advantage into a result against the Spanish side.
