Hervé Kagé Joins KV Kortrijk from Racing Genk
Hervé Kagé has completed his move from Racing Genk to KV Kortrijk, as confirmed by RTBF. The Belgian midfielder, of Congolese origin, has signed with the Belgian club after a stint at Genk. Kagé’s transfer was officially confirmed by Racing Genk late Thursday afternoon.
The 28-year-old, who has had previous spells at Anderlecht, Charleroi, and La Gantoise, as well as a brief time at Beitar Jerusalem, is set to reunite with Johan Walem at Kortrijk. The two previously worked together at Anderlecht, where Walem praised Kagé’s exceptional talent. “Hervé Kagé is one of the most brilliant players I’ve worked with at Anderlecht,” Walem said in 2013. “In terms of pure talent, I’ve rarely seen a player as strong as him. I believe he had everything to replace Lucas Biglia.”
Kagé’s move to Kortrijk marks a fresh chapter in his career, and with his technical ability and experience, he is expected to make a significant impact in the Belgian Pro League.
