Hertha BSC eye German-Ghanaian winger Farid Alfa-Ruprecht in Leverkusen move

German-Ghanaian winger Farid Alfa-Ruprecht is being linked with a move from Leverkusen to Hertha BSC.

The proposed switch from the Bundesliga club to the 2. Bundesliga side is currently assessed at 95%, although the transfer remains a rumour and has not been confirmed.

Alfa-Ruprecht, 20, plays on the right wing and joined Leverkusen on 27 July 2025. He has a contract with the club until 30 June 2030, meaning Hertha would be pursuing a player under a long-term agreement rather than a free transfer.

The winger has recorded 26 appearances, three goals and two assists in the 2. Bundesliga during his career. He has also made eight appearances in the Premier League 2, scoring eight goals and providing three assists, as well as featuring in the UEFA Youth League.

Alfa-Ruprecht’s listed market value is €3m. He was born in Hamburg and holds German and Ghanaian nationality.

A move to Hertha would keep him in Germany while potentially taking him to a club competing in the second tier. For now, the player remains contracted to Leverkusen through June 2030.
