Hellas Verona are set to pocket around €9 million following the transfer of highly rated Italian-born teenager of Guinean descent, Alphadjo Cissé, to AC Milan, Africasoccer can report.
Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Rossoneri have won the race for the 19-year-old midfielder, fending off competition from Paris Saint-Germain to secure an agreement with Verona.
The deal is said to be worth eight million euros, with an additional 1.5 million euros included in performance-related bonuses.
Cissé, who is currently on loan at Serie B side Catanzaro, is expected to remain with the club until the end of the season. He will then complete his move to San Siro ahead of the new campaign in the summer.
The young midfielder has impressed during his loan spell, netting six goals in the ongoing Serie B season, a return that has further underlined his potential and attracted interest from top European clubs.
AC Milan now appear to have their man, with Verona set to benefit financially from the rise of one of Italy’s most promising young midfield talents.
