Drama in the camp of Nigerian Professional Football League side Heartland FC as management have sacked two coaches in one season, with Kennedy Boboye the latest victim.
In a board meeting at the club with the commissioner for sports Emeka Okoronkwo, the governor ordered the club to reinstate Christian Obi as the head coach.
Obi guided Heartland from the Nigerian second-tier to the top-flight without a defeat but failed to win a single match after nine matches in the Premier League.
Boboye the Nigerian tactician who was without club since he left Akwa United in 2021, was appointed by the Naze millionaires in November, as he has helped them out of the relegation zone after six games, recording three wins, drawing one and losing the others.
However, after match day 16, Boboye was shown the exit door as Obi returned to the club with immediate effect.
Obi will be in charge of Heartland when they take on Niger Tornadoes on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
