Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has praised Omar Marmoush following his exciting performance against Newcastle United over the weekend in their 4-0 win.
The Egyptian star scored his first career hat-trick against the Magpies on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola lauded the 25-year-old saying he is the player they have missed in their set-up.
“He’s a player that we missed. His movement in behind, his pace,” said City boss Pep Guardiola.
“He’s a guy who likes to attack the space and help us to create more,” he added.
The Egyptian first latched on to a long ball from goalkeeper Ederson before lobbing Newcastle shot-stopper Martin Dubravka.
He then added a second and third to his tally – becoming just the second Egyptian to net a Premier League hat-trick (joining, of course, Mohamed Salah).
Marmoush will be hoping to inspire Manchester City when they travel to play Real Madrid in the Champions League second leg playoff on Wednesday.
