Haytham Hassan features as Celtic beat Hibernian to strengthen Scottish league lead

Haytham Hassan came off the bench as Celtic secured a 2-1 victory away to Hibernian in the Scottish league on Sunday evening.

The Egyptian winger started the 10th-round meeting at Easter Road among the substitutes and was introduced in the 64th minute, with Celtic already leading 2-1.

Hassan operated from the right after coming on and looked to influence the game from the flank, but the score remained unchanged for the rest of the match.

The appearance was Hassan’s 14th for Celtic since joining the club in the summer from Real Oviedo. The Egypt international has provided two assists during that time.

The result moved Celtic to 27 points at the top of the Scottish league table, while Hibernian remain bottom with seven points.
