Hatem Awad: Egypt winger joins Bilqas City from Mansoura in summer move

Egyptian winger Hatem Awad has joined Bilqas City from Mansoura, completing a move that adds a new attacking option on the left flank for the club ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.

The 25-year-old left winger, who prefers to play on the right foot from the left side of attack, makes the switch within Egyptian football after a spell at Mansoura that began in January 2025. Awad’s arrival at Bilqas City was finalised on 23 July 2026.

Awad has spent much of his senior career in Egyptian domestic football, punctuated by a stint in Turkey’s youth system. After starting out at Mansoura from his own youth ranks in 2018, he moved abroad to join Kasimpasa’s under-21 side in 2020, gaining experience outside Egypt before returning home.

He later signed for Mokawloon’s under-23 team in 2021 and then moved to Petrojet in August 2023. That transfer was completed on a free, and he went on to earn another free move when he joined Suez SC in October 2024, before returning to Mansoura later that season.

Capable of operating across the front line but primarily used as a left winger, Awad becomes one of Bilqas City’s senior attacking options as they shape their squad for the new season. His journey through several Egyptian clubs and his time in Turkey’s youth set-up underline a career built on regular moves and adaptation.

Awad, whose last recorded highest market valuation reached €25,000 earlier in his career, now begins a new chapter with Bilqas City after leaving Mansoura.
