Harry Kane has ended speculation over his future by signing a new contract with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the club until June 2029.
The England striker, who was recently named the world’s best player after winning the 2026 Ballon d’Or, had been due to see his previous agreement expire at the end of the current season.
Kane’s renewal also closes the door, for now, on interest from several of Europe’s leading clubs. His name had been linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent years.
Since joining Bayern Munich, Kane has won two Bundesliga titles, one German Cup and two German Super Cups. He has made 161 official appearances for the club in domestic and European competitions, scoring 156 goals.
“I feel at home at Bayern,” Kane told the club’s website. “I love the club and the city of Munich, and we have a great team and an amazing manager in Vincent Kompany.
“I am proud to be part of this club, and my family is very happy here. I wanted to stay, and I am very excited about the future. I want to continue winning trophies with this great club.”
Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer praised Kane’s impact since his arrival, saying the forward had already secured a special place in the club’s history.
“He has become a very special part of Bayern’s history,” said Hainer. “Harry Kane has surpassed every expectation in football and has already earned a special place in the hearts of the fans as one of the leading sporting figures of our era.”
