Harry Kane becomes fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals

Harry Kane made Bundesliga history by scoring his 100th goal in the competition during Bayern Munich’s match against Union Berlin at the Allianz Arena.

The England captain reached the landmark in only his 98th Bundesliga appearance, becoming the fastest player in the history of the competition to score 100 goals.

Kane struck Bayern’s second goal in the 39th minute as the reigning champions took a 3-0 lead into half-time. The penalty was awarded after a foul on his team-mate Michael Olise, with Kane taking responsibility and sending a powerful effort to the goalkeeper’s right.

According to statistics provider Squawka, no player had previously reached 100 Bundesliga goals in fewer than 98 matches. Kane’s achievement therefore places him ahead of all of the competition’s previous scoring greats in terms of the number of appearances needed to reach the milestone.

The record continues an exceptional spell for Kane since he joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham in the summer of 2023.

During his time in Germany, the striker has helped Bayern win the Bundesliga twice, the German Super Cup twice and the German Cup.

Kane has also dominated the individual awards. He has finished as the Bundesliga’s leading scorer in each of the past three seasons and was named Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2024-25.

He has also won the European Golden Shoe, awarded to Europe’s leading domestic-league goalscorer, in the 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons.

Squawka said Kane had scored his first 100 Bundesliga goals in fewer matches than any other player in the competition’s history. Its post also stated that he had a 57% chance of winning the Ballon d’Or, according to Polymarket.
