Haroune Camara joins NEOM SC on loan after Al-Nassr title-winning campaign

Saudi Arabia-Guinea centre-forward Haroune Camara has joined NEOM SC on loan from Al-Nassr in a move between two Saudi Pro League clubs.

The 28-year-old Riyadh-born striker will remain with NEOM until 30 June 2027, when the loan is scheduled to end and he is due to return to Al-Nassr.

Camara moves to NEOM after being part of Al-Nassr’s Saudi Arabian championship-winning squad in the 2025-26 season. He joined Al-Nassr from Al-Shabab in September 2025 for €3.4m, before spending part of the following campaign on loan at Al-Shabab.

His switch to NEOM is the latest move in a career that has included several spells with leading Saudi clubs. Camara joined Al-Shabab from Al-Ittihad on a free transfer in July 2024, having previously represented Al-Ittihad and Al-Ettifaq.

He made his senior breakthrough with Al-Qadsiah after progressing from the club’s under-23 side. Al-Ittihad later signed him from Al-Qadsiah in July 2019 for €3.3m, and he helped the club win the Saudi Arabian title and Saudi Super Cup during the 2022-23 campaign.

Camara has recorded 31 goals and 16 assists in 172 Saudi Pro League appearances. He has also scored in the King’s Cup, AFC Champions League and AFC Champions League Two, giving him experience across domestic and continental competition.

A right-footed striker standing 1.88m tall, Camara adds an established Saudi Pro League forward to the NEOM squad. The move also gives him the opportunity to continue his career with a club that is entering a new chapter in the country’s football structure.

Camara’s market value is listed at €300,000, while his previous highest recorded value was €850,000. His arrival at NEOM was registered on 13 August 2026, and the club has allocated him the number 70 shirt.

The transfer marks Camara’s second move away from Al-Nassr in 2026, following his loan spell at Al-Shabab earlier in the year. He now begins a temporary spell at NEOM that is contractually scheduled to run through June 2027.
