Egyptian Football Association President Hany Abou Rida has praised the country’s new wave of football talent following the U-20 national team’s qualification for the World Cup finals.
Abou Rida expressed pride in the young Pharaohs, who secured a hard-fought victory over Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals. He commended the players and coach Osama Nabih for their determination and team spirit, which he believes can drive them toward a continental title.
“The Pharaohs have achieved an important achievement and can defend their dream of winning the continental title with continued enthusiasm and fighting spirit,” Abou Rida said via the EFA’s media team.
“Egypt’s players were heroes against Ghana in the quarter-finals and were up to the responsibility and overcame difficult stages during the tournament.”
“Egyptian football has a promising generation that deserves support and salute.”
Although Abou Rida was not present during the match due to his participation in the FIFA General Assembly in Paraguay, his message was clear, Egypt’s football future looks strong and full of promise.
