Hansi Flick nominated alongside Diego Simeone for La Liga September award

Hansi Flick is in contention to be named La Liga’s manager of the month for September after guiding Barcelona to a perfect start in the league.

Barcelona have won all seven of their La Liga matches this season, with Flick’s side also recording victories in each of their four league games played during September.

Flick faces competition from Atletico de Madrid manager Diego Simeone and Manuel Pellegrini of Real Betis.

Simeone led Atletico de Madrid to three league wins during September, although they also suffered one defeat.

Pellegrini’s Real Betis won three league matches in the month and drew one.

Barcelona lead the La Liga table with 21 points from seven games.

Atletico de Madrid are second and Real Betis third, with both clubs on 16 points.
