Barcelona manager Hansi Flick addressed the media ahead of his team’s crucial clash against Atlético Madrid, offering insight into the performances of young stars Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde.
Flick dismissed the notion that Yamal’s recent goal against Benfica marked a turning point in his development, emphasizing the teenager’s consistency. “I see it the same as always. He has always been a player with confidence in the ball. Marking, of course, helps a lot. He also gave assistance to the first goal. He is playing very well. Your performance is very good. I don’t think the goal against Benfica has changed anything.”
The German coach also spoke highly of Balde’s progress this season, acknowledging his hard work and influence on the squad. “His season has been very good. He has improved a lot and is helping the team. He is working hard and showing his quality in each game.”
Both Yamal and Balde have been instrumental in Barcelona’s campaign, solidifying their roles as key figures in Flick’s evolving squad.
