Hannover 96 linked with Stuttgart II right-back Christopher Olivier

Austrian-South African right-back Christopher Olivier is being linked with a move from Stuttgart II to Hannover 96, who play in Germany’s 2. Bundesliga.

Olivier, 20, has established himself at Stuttgart II after joining the club from its Under-19 side in July 2024. He is contracted to Stuttgart until 30 June 2028, meaning any move would involve an agreement between the clubs rather than a free transfer.

The defender has made 47 appearances in the 3. Liga, scoring once and providing five assists. He has played exclusively at that level for Stuttgart II, having previously progressed through the club’s youth teams.

Hannover are understood to be considering Olivier as they assess their options at right-back, although the available information does not indicate that a transfer has been agreed or provide details of a potential fee.

Olivier began his development with Vorarlberg in Austria before moving to Stuttgart’s academy in 2022. His current market value is listed at €1.2m.

The reported interest comes with Olivier still under a long-term contract at Stuttgart II, where he remains part of the club’s senior set-up.
