Hamza Al Mugsi: Libyan midfielder swaps Olympic for Al-Ittihad in domestic move
Libya attacking midfielder Hamza Al Mugsi has joined Al-Ittihad from Olympic in a completed domestic transfer within the Libyan Premier League. The 23-year-old, who operates primarily as an attacking midfielder, makes the switch after emerging as one of the more productive creative players at his former club.
Al Mugsi arrives at Al-Ittihad on the back of consistent game time in Libyas top flight, where he registered 28 league appearances, scoring five goals and providing five assists. Across those matches he accumulated 2,423 minutes, underlining his status as a regular starter in the competition. He also featured 14 times in qualification play-offs, adding a further goal in high-stakes fixtures.
The move keeps Al Mugsi in familiar surroundings in the Libyan Premier League but represents a significant step in his career, with Al-Ittihad traditionally among the most prominent sides in the country. His current market valuation stands at 350,000, reflecting his recent progression and output at Olympic.
Born on 28 February 2003, Al Mugsi now links up with Al-Ittihad both at club level and in alignment with his involvement in Libyan domestic football structures. His arrival strengthens the attacking options between midfield and forward lines, with his previous numbers demonstrating an ability to contribute in the final third through both goals and assists.
Al Mugsis transfer from Olympic to Al-Ittihad was finalised on 10 July 2026, confirming his status as the latest addition to the Libyan Premier League sides squad.
