Hamza Abdelkarim has returned to Barcelona training after completing his international commitments with Egypt.

The striker took part in the squad’s group session on Tuesday, alongside German forward Karim Adeyemi, who also returned to training.

Barcelona team-mate Frenkie de Jong trained with the group for the first time since sustaining a knee injury.

Hans Flick’s side have several more sessions to complete their preparations for Saturday’s La Liga match against Getafe, who will visit Barcelona.

The German manager is gradually being reunited with his international players as the squad prepares to return to action at Camp Nou on Saturday.

Abdelkarim scored his first international goal during the latest international break, coming off the bench to find the net against South Sudan in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The former Al Ahly striker featured in all three of Egypt’s matches during the break. He made substitute appearances against Angola, South Sudan and South Africa.
