Bayern Munich make official move for Egyptian teen talent Hamza Abdelkarim

Barcelona’s January recruit for the reserve side, Hamza Abdelkarim, is finally set to make his first appearance for Barca B after successfully obtaining his work permit, according to reports.

The club brought in the highly rated Egyptian forward on loan from Al Ahly after difficult negotiations and included a €3 million option to buy in the summer.

The 18-year-old striker impressed scouts with his standout displays at the U-17 World Cup last year, attracting interest from several major European teams before Barcelona won the race for his signature. Since arriving, Abdelkarim has already been training with his new teammates and has shown flashes of the talent that made him such a coveted prospect.

However, as a non-EU player, he first needed to travel back to Egypt to complete key paperwork and secure the right to work in Spain, delaying his debut.

With those formalities now resolved, the young attacker is expected to be involved with the B team very soon as he looks to make his mark in Spanish football and justify Barcelona’s faith in his potential.
