Etoile Sportive du Sahel (ES Sahel) is set for a historic moment as Dr. Hamed Kamoun emerges as the sole candidate for the club’s presidency in the upcoming elections.
In a press release on Monday, the Tunisian football giant confirmed that only Kamoun’s candidacy met the criteria established by the Independent Electoral Commission.
A former ES Sahel player from the 1970s and the club’s president from 2009 to 2011, Kamoun brings a wealth of experience to his bid for leadership. His candidacy list features Amine Mougou, a seasoned figure in Tunisian football administration, as vice-president.
The elections, scheduled for Friday, December 27, 2024, will determine the new board of directors for the next three seasons (2024–2027). Alongside the presidential vote, ES Sahel will convene two ordinary general meetings to address financial reports for the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 seasons.
All proceedings will take place at the club’s sports complex hotel starting at 2:00 p.m. GMT, marking a pivotal day for the iconic Tunisian club.
