Haissem Hassan: Liverpool linked with move for Real Oviedo winger
France- and Egypt-qualified winger Haissem Hassan of Real Oviedo is being linked with a move to Premier League side Liverpool. The 24-year-old, who plays primarily on the right and prefers his left foot, is under contract with the Spanish club until June 2027 but has emerged as a potential target for the Anfield side this summer.
Hassan joined Real Oviedo from Villarreal in August 2024 for a reported 1.5m fee and has since established himself in Spains second tier, LaLiga2, where he has amassed 139 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing 14 assists. His current market valuation is around 3.5m, a figure that would make him a comparatively low-cost option for a Premier League club.
Born in Bagnolet in 2002 and holding both Egyptian and French nationality, Hassan has built up significant experience in Spanish football, including a spell with Sporting Gijon and earlier involvement with Villarreals first and B teams. He has also featured in LaLiga, making 39 appearances and recording three assists in the Spanish top flight.
On the international stage, Hassan is currently involved at the 2026 World Cup, where he has made two appearances and registered one assist, featuring in just over a quarter of Egypts minutes so far in the tournament. That exposure on the global stage is understood to have sharpened interest in his situation at Oviedo.
With a year left after the upcoming season on his deal in Spain, Real Oviedo are not under immediate pressure to sell, but Liverpools interest is expected to test their resolve as the transfer window progresses.
