Anis Hadj-Moussa and Adem Zorgane have withdrawn from the Algeria squad after sustaining injuries during the recent matches against Zambia and Burundi.
Both players picked up their problems during the games, and Algeria’s medical staff decided not to risk affecting their recovery by keeping them involved.
The double absence means the manager must rethink his tactical plans for the final friendly scheduled during this international period. Hadj-Moussa and Zorgane have become increasingly important to the Fennecs, with their unavailability reducing the team’s attacking threat and midfield control.
Further examinations carried out locally confirmed that neither player could be selected safely for the match.
The two internationals have now been released from the squad and will return to their respective clubs, where they will immediately begin their treatment programmes.
