Habtamu Tadesse emerges as Shagger City target in Ethiopian Premier League

Ethiopian forward Habtamu Tadesse is the subject of a transfer rumour linking him with a move from Sidama Bunna to fellow Premier League club Shagger City.

The 26-year-old centre-forward joined Sidama Bunna from Bahirdar Ketema in September 2024 and remains with the club as speculation over a possible domestic move grows.

Tadesse has made 38 Premier League appearances for a total of 2,525 minutes, scoring six goals and providing five assists. He has also featured four times in the CAF Confederation Cup, scoring three goals in 335 minutes.

Born in Bule Hora, Tadesse is an Ethiopia international-level player whose recorded club career has been based in the country’s top-flight competition. Before joining Bahirdar Ketema, he played for Hadia Hosaina and Ethiopia Bunna.

The reported interest comes with both clubs competing in the Ethiopian Premier League, placing Tadesse at the centre of a potential move within the division. His current market value is listed at €50,000.

There is no indication that a transfer has been completed, and the rumour remains at the stage of reported interest. Tadesse continues to be registered as a Sidama Bunna player, where he operates as a centre-forward.
