Habib Lazzez: Tunisian striker joins JS Kairouan on free transfer from Sfax Railways
Tunisian centre-forward Habib Lazzez has joined JS Kairouan on a free transfer from Sfax Railways, signing a deal that runs until 30 June 2027.
The 28-year-old, who stands at 1.85m and plays primarily through the middle, makes the move ahead of the 2026-27 campaign as JS Kairouan look to strengthen their attacking options. The transfer continues a busy few seasons for Lazzez within Tunisian football, with the forward now adding another established club to his CV.
Lazzez arrives from Sfax Railways, whom he rejoined in July 2025, also on a free transfer. During his most recent spell he featured in the Tunisian Ligue 1, making 15 league appearances and gaining further top-flight experience. His switch to JS Kairouan offers him a fresh platform after a series of moves across the domestic game.
The right-footed striker has spent the bulk of his career in Tunisia, including stints at CS Chebba and CO Medenine after leaving AS Marsa in January 2023. Earlier in his career he progressed from CS Sfaxien’s youth ranks into the senior setup, with a loan spell at Stade Gabesien helping him break into regular professional football.
By committing Lazzez to a one-year contract, JS Kairouan have secured an experienced domestic forward on a free transfer from league rivals Sfax Railways.
