Habib Beye has laid down clear conditions if he is to leave Rennais before the end of the season, as tension grows around the club’s current crisis.

According to Foot Mercato, the Franco-Senegalese coach expects to be paid his full salary for the rest of this campaign and the following one, arguing that Rennais’ status as a European club should automatically trigger the extra year in his contract.

Beye is also reported to be asking for a percentage of the future transfer income from Jeremie Jacquet, who joined Liverpool for 70 million euros, and Kader Meïté, who moved to Al Hilal for 30 million euros.

He believes his role in developing both players justifies a share of the combined 100 million euros in fees. However, Rennes are said to have no intention of accepting this second demand, setting up a potential standoff if the situation escalates.

For now, the club’s focus remains on the pitch. Beye must quickly restore calm in the dressing room and turn attention to Rennes’ upcoming Ligue 1 clash with Lens on Saturday, as they fight to stabilize results and avoid further turbulence.
