Habib Beye delighted with positive first Marseille training

Habib Beye has described his first days as Marseille head coach as “a dream come true” after taking charge of his debut training session with the squad.

The former Marseille captain, appointed on Wednesday evening, said the atmosphere on the pitch immediately felt right and full of positivity.

Speaking at his press conference, Beye explained that his recent experience coaching in Ligue 1 has helped him settle quickly.

“What I recently learned coaching in Ligue 1 allows me to save time,” he said, also crediting the work already done by the existing staff behind the scenes. “I also save time thanks to the work already done by the staff. Training was full of smiles. They are the engine,” he added, highlighting the players’ energy and attitude.

For Beye, enjoyment is central to his vision for the club. “The concept of pleasure is fundamental. You need to enjoy representing OM and playing at the Velodrome,” he stressed.

Marseille will play Brest in their next league game on February 20th.
