Gulf Cup double-header headlines Thursday’s football schedule

The United Arab Emirates face Yemen and Qatar meet Bahrain in two Gulf Cup 27 matches on Thursday, 24 September 2026, while the UEFA Nations League features Netherlands against Germany and Portugal versus Wales.

The UAE’s match against Yemen will be played at Al-Inmaa Stadium, with Qatar taking on Bahrain at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium. Tunisia also begin their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign against Uganda at Hamadi Al-Aqrabi Stadium.

Other fixtures include Libya against Botswana, Mauritania versus Central African Republic, Cameroon against Comoros and the meeting between Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana.

Gulf Cup 27 – first round

The UAE play Yemen at 18:55 Saudi time and 19:55 UAE time. The match will be broadcast on Sharjah Sports, with Musa Eid as commentator; Al Kass 1, with Samir Al-Maierfi; and Kuwait Sports, with Tariq Al-Mulla.

Qatar’s meeting with Bahrain starts at 21:00 Saudi time and 22:00 UAE time. Sharjah Sports will carry the match with Mohammed Al-Hinai, Al Kass 1 with Khalil Al-Balushi, and Kuwait Sports with Nasser Al-Dosari.

UEFA Nations League – first round

Andorra face Malta at 19:00 Saudi time and 20:00 UAE time on beIN Sports 3, with Abdullah Al-Ghamdi.

Kosovo play Ireland at 21:45 Saudi time and 22:45 UAE time on beIN Sports 5, with Basem Al-Zeir. At the same time, Netherlands meet Germany on beIN Sports 2, with Hafid Derradji.

Serbia take on Greece on beIN Sports 6, with Ahmed Abdu, while Norway face Denmark on beIN Sports 4, with Hassan Al-Aidaroos.

Portugal versus Wales will be shown on beIN Sports 3, with Amer Al-Khudhiri. Liechtenstein against Lithuania is scheduled for beIN Xtra 1, with Mohammed Al-Mabrouki.

Libya’s match against Botswana begins at 19:00 Saudi time and 20:00 UAE time on beIN Sports 1, with Mohammed Barakat. Mauritania face Central African Republic at the same time on beIN Sports 2, with Ali Mohammed Ali.
