Borussia Dortmund could soon receive greater clarity over the future of striker Serhou Guirassy, with his release clause set to expire on July 15.

According to Sky, several European heavyweights currently have the opportunity to sign the forward for a fee of just under €40 million before the deadline passes.

The clause gives clubs including Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool FC, Chelsea FC, Manchester United and Arsenal FC the chance to secure the striker at a fixed price.

After July 15, any interested club would have to negotiate directly with Dortmund over the transfer fee.

No concrete offers for Guirassy yet

Despite the interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, Dortmund have reportedly not received any official proposals for the Guinea international.

Fenerbahçe remain among the clubs monitoring the striker’s situation, but a move to Turkey is not currently considered Guirassy’s preferred destination.

The Turkish club have shown interest, although no formal offer has been submitted.

Dortmund plans depend on striker’s future

Guirassy’s situation is significant for Borussia Dortmund as the Bundesliga side continue planning for the next stage of their squad development.

After making several new signings, further transfer activity could depend on possible player departures, making the striker’s future an important factor in Dortmund’s summer plans.

The 30-year-old remains under contract at Dortmund until 2028, but the approaching release clause deadline could determine whether his future is decided in the coming weeks.
