Guirane N’Daw Returns to Ligue 1 with FC Metz
FC Metz has officially announced the signing of Senegalese midfielder Guirane N’Daw on a two-year contract. The 30-year-old joins the Lorraine-based club following their promotion to Ligue 1, marking his return to France’s top flight after a stint with Asteras Tripolis in Greece last season.
N’Daw brings considerable experience to Metz, having played 193 Ligue 1 matches throughout his career. He began his professional journey with Sochaux in 2002, where he spent six seasons and won both the Coupe de la Ligue in 2004 and the Coupe de France in 2007. He later moved to Nantes in Ligue 2 before his time abroad.
Versatile in defensive roles, capable of playing both as a midfielder and central defender, N’Daw is expected to be a key figure in Metz’s battle for survival in Ligue 1. With 44 caps for Senegal’s national team, the Lions of Teranga, and valuable French top-tier experience, the Senegalese international aims to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
FC Metz’s official Twitter confirmed the signing:
“With 193 #L1 matches under his belt, midfielder Guirane N’Daw has just signed a 2-year contract.”
