Younousse Sankharé Returns to Guingamp Squad Ahead of Metz Clash
Guingamp coach Jocelyn Gourvennec has included Younousse Sankharé in his 19-man squad for Wednesday’s Ligue 1 fixture against FC Metz, marking the midfielder’s first call-up of the season.
The Franco-Mauritanian midfielder had not featured in the early stages of the campaign but is now set to return to action. The squad announcement on Tuesday also confirmed the continued absence of Danish defender Lars Jacobsen.
Guingamp’s squad for the match includes goalkeepers Samassa and Lössl; defenders Baca, Kerbrat, Angoua, Lévêque, Sorbon, and Sankoh; midfielders Beauvue, Giresse, Dos Santos, Marveaux, Diallo, Pied, Yatabaré, and Sankharé; as well as forwards Alioui, Douniama, and Mandanne.
The match represents an important opportunity for Guingamp to gain momentum in the league as they face a strong Metz side.
