Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy makes Borussia Dortmund history with record-breaking debut season

Prolific Guinean striker Serhou Guirassy is reportedly on the radar of Spanish giants FC Barcelona.

According to Bild, Barcelona coach Hansi Flick is a strong admirer of the Borussia Dortmund striker and is keen on bringing him to Camp Nou. Reports suggest a transfer fee in the region of €100 million could be required to secure his services.

Spanish outlet Fichajes.net further claims that Barcelona have made Guirassy’s signing a top priority for the summer of 2026, when Lewandowski’s contract expires.

However, there are said to be differing opinions within the club hierarchy. While Flick values Guirassy highly due to his Bundesliga experience, president Joan Laporta is believed to prefer high-profile signings that could boost his campaign for re-election.

Guirassy, whose Dortmund contract runs until 2028, remains one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe.

Last summer, his deal contained a release clause for select top clubs, though it was not activated.

His brother and agent, Karamba, is reportedly keeping his name in circulation across Europe as he seeks to improve the striker’s current salary package of around €9 million plus bonuses.
