Serhou Guirassy Linked With Summer Move to Fenerbahçe

Guinean international Serhou Guirassy could be set for a new chapter in his career after reports emerged that an agreement has been reached regarding a possible transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Turkish side Fenerbahçe.

The 30-year-old striker has been identified as a priority target by Fenerbahçe presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim, who is hoping to make the Borussia Dortmund forward his flagship signing should he secure victory in the club’s upcoming elections.

According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Yildirim has already reached an agreement with both Guirassy and Borussia Dortmund as part of plans to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.

The proposed move, however, remains dependent on developments away from the pitch. Yildirim must first win the presidential election before any deal can move forward under his leadership.

Attention is therefore focused on the election process, with the final vote count expected to be completed in the coming days. The process will conclude no later than the club’s general assembly scheduled for June 6 and 7.

A total of 44,741 Fenerbahçe members are eligible to vote, and the result will determine who takes charge of one of Turkey’s biggest clubs for the next term.

Reports also suggest that Guirassy has already started gathering information about Istanbul as he considers the possibility of relocating to Turkey this summer. While no transfer has yet been completed, the latest developments indicate that preliminary groundwork is underway.

Whether those discussions eventually lead to a formal move remains uncertain, but signs point to growing interest from all parties involved.

Guirassy remains one of the most respected African forwards in European football and has enjoyed another productive campaign in Germany.

The Guinean striker finished last season as the third-highest scorer in the Bundesliga, registering 17 goals and one assist across 33 league appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

Those performances have continued to attract attention across Europe, with Fenerbahçe now hoping to secure the services of the experienced forward if the club’s political landscape unfolds in its favour over the coming days.

For now, the future of the Guinean international remains closely tied to the outcome of the upcoming presidential election, with supporters awaiting clarity on whether the reported agreement will ultimately result in a summer transfer.
