Guinean attacker Morifing Donzo has completed his anticipated move to Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
The forward came close to signing for the Porcupine Warriors last season, but the move could not materialise.
Ahead of the 2025/26 football season, Morifing Donzo has signed a three-year contract with the Reds.
“Asante Kotoko is delighted to announce the signing of Guinean forward Morifing Donzo on a three-year deal, following the successful completion of his medical. The deal is subject to the approval of his work permit.
“The 27-year-old joins from Hafia FC and brings with him experience at the highest level of African club football, having featured in both the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup,” an official club statement from Asante Kotoko said on Monday, August 4.
Speaking after completing his switch, Morifing Donzo said he wants to do his best for Asante Kotoko to ensure he makes a name for himself.
“I was eager to make this move last season, but sometimes football doesn’t go the way you plan. Better late than never. I’ve spoken with Amos Frimpong who was always convincing me to come, I have also spoken with Mo (Camara) and Joe (Ablorh) and both had nothing but positive things to say about the club. I’m here now, ready to give everything, and make a name for myself in front of these fans,” he said as quoted on the Kotoko website.
