Guinea has announced the preparation program for the Syli National team ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The Guinean Football Federation (Féguifoot) confirmed that coach Paul Put will reveal an extended list of 25 players, along with six to seven reserves, on Saturday at 10 a.m. local time.
The team’s preparations will begin on May 29 with a training camp in Conakry. From June 1 to 14, the squad will continue their build-up in Marrakech, Morocco, where they will play two friendly matches: against Gambia on June 7 and Benin on June 11. Following this, the team will travel to Alexandria, Egypt, arriving a week before the start of the tournament, and will face the host nation in a final preparatory match on June 16.
Guinea has been drawn into Group B for the 2019 AFCON, where they will face Madagascar, Nigeria, and Burundi. The program reflects a structured approach aimed at balancing training, match practice, and acclimatization to tournament conditions, giving the Syli National the best chance to start the competition strongly.
