Tragedy Hits Guinean Football as CIK Supporters Die in Road Accident
A heartbreaking tragedy has shaken Guinean football. Supporters of CI Kamsar (CIK) were involved in a deadly traffic accident while returning from Conakry, where they had gone to watch their team play Santoba in the second round of the national championship.
The accident occurred at night near the Tanènè bridges, a well-known but dangerous road segment. According to information relayed by Foot224, a large truck collided violently with a minibus carrying the supporters.
Tragically, two people were killed instantly, while several others sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment at the Tanènè hospital.
In the aftermath of the crash, local residents reacted with anger, reportedly setting the truck on fire after the driver fled the scene.
This tragic incident has plunged the Guinean football community into mourning, especially the supporters of CIK, who were simply returning home after passionately supporting their club.
