Guinea national football team will hold a training camp in Morocco next month and play two friendly matches during the March international window as part of efforts to restore stability after recent setbacks.
The Guinean Football Federation confirmed the programme on Monday, announcing participation in a tournament titled “Morocco, Capital of African Football”, staged between 23 and 31 March 2026 in Rabat and Casablanca.
Guinea will face Togo national football team on Friday 27 March before taking on Benin national football team on Tuesday 31 March.
The fixtures are intended to help prepare the side for qualifying for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The national team is attempting to rebuild after missing the 2025 AFCON, despite reaching the quarter-finals in the previous edition.
Changes in the dugout have marked the past two years, including the end of the tenure of Kaba Diawara in 2024 and the subsequent spell of Michel Dussuyer, which also ended in disappointment.
Since the arrival of Paulo Duarte in late 2025, results have shown some improvement.
In his first five matches in charge, Guinea recorded two wins and three draws, accompanied by attacking promise and defensive solidity.
The Togo match also carries added relevance for Duarte, who previously coached the Togolese side from 2021 to 2024.
Meanwhile, Benin arrive with confidence after a positive run following their most recent AFCON appearance, where they reached the last 16 and secured their first victory in the competition.

For a squad led by Serhou Guirassy, the emphasis during the camp will be less on results and more on collective cohesion, automatisms and the players’ adaptation to the coaching staff’s methods.
The Moroccan gathering is therefore expected to serve primarily as a testing ground as Guinea attempt to lay the foundations for a more consistent future.
