Loubha FC have announced the departure of their head coach by mutual consent following a series of disappointing results in the Guinean Ligue 1.
The club is currently enduring a difficult run, having gone more than five matches without a victory, including back-to-back defeats in Kamsar against Wakriya AC and CI Kamsar.
In the wake of these performances, Loubha FC’s management decided to seek new leadership in hopes of turning their season around.
“After several hours of discussions, the management decided to entrust the team to Mr. SAMPOU, following the presentation of his project for the club,” the club confirmed in an official statement.
SAMPOU, who holds a B-CAF coaching license, brings significant experience to the role, having previously managed teams such as Séquence, Gangan, and more recently Real Kakoulima.
He was formally introduced to the players at the Nongo Technical Centre earlier this week, as he begins the urgent task of stabilizing the struggling side.
Loubha FC’s record this season has left them in a precarious position.
After 15 matches, the Télimélé-based club has managed just three victories alongside seven defeats and five draws, leaving them 13th in the standings with only 15 points—deep within the relegation zone.
The leadership at Loubha FC are hopeful that SAMPOU’s arrival and new vision will provide the spark needed to climb out of danger.
With time running short and fixtures piling up, the new coach faces the immediate challenge of rebuilding confidence within a squad short on momentum.
Survival in the Guinean top flight remains the club’s primary objective for the remainder of the season.
The management’s swift action in changing technical direction reflects the urgency of the situation, as Loubha FC look to preserve their status among Guinea’s elite clubs.
Fans and club officials alike will now be watching closely to see if SAMPOU can inspire a revival in fortunes and secure the points needed to stave off relegation in what has been a demanding campaign so far.
