Horoya AC Strengthens Coaching Staff Ahead of CAF Cup Campaign
Guinean club Horoya AC has reinforced its technical team with the recruitment of two expatriate coaches to support head coach Théophile Bola, who has faced difficulties at the start of the season.
The new additions include Dominique Jonckheere, a Belgian tactician and former coach of Etoile in Belgium’s fourth division (P1), who joins as assistant coach. Alongside him is Aziz Mohammed, a Moroccan fitness coach, brought in to improve the squad’s physical condition. Mohammed was already present at the club’s recent 1-0 victory over FC Séquence de Dixin, held at the Stade du 28 Septembre.
These appointments come as Horoya prepares for a challenging CAF Confederation Cup campaign, set to kick off in February 2015. In the preliminary round, the Conakry-based club will face FC Fassel of Liberia.
Horoya’s management is optimistic that these changes will give the team a competitive edge both domestically and on the continental stage.
