Théophile Bola Appointed as New Coach of Horoya AC
Amara Traoré’s tenure as coach of Horoya AC has come to an abrupt end, with the club parting ways with him three weeks ago following a series of disappointing results. The Guinean club has now named Congolese coach Théophile Bola as his successor. Bola, who currently resides in France, is expected to sign his contract in the coming days and take charge of the team.
Speaking to foot224, the new manager made it clear that his mission was one of urgency and responsibility, referring to his appointment as that of a “firefighter” brought in to rescue the club from its current slump. “I came as a firefighter to save the house,” he said.
Bola is set to lead Horoya AC for their next match against Soumba this Tuesday in the championship. The club is currently in third place with 25 points, trailing US Kaloum (30 points) and Séquence (27 points). With his experience, Bola will hope to guide the team back to winning ways and push them up the league standings.
